The main source of inspiration for my project was the television series titled The 100, produced by The CW. The 100 is mainly about what life is like 100+ years after a nuclear war on Earth. The season that inspired my composition was one of the later seasons where the Skaikru (the people from space) had to inhabit a distant planet to survive (I don’t want to spoil too much about the show). For my project, I explored what life could look like if the Skaikru chose to inhabit Mars if it were possible. I imagine it would be something similar to Arizonan living (i.e., warm and dusty). Although, an article by the Washington Post says otherwise. It states that Mars is found to be somewhat similar to Earth, in its warmer temperatures; however, it can also reach dangerous levels (-225 degrees °F) (Moore). I’d like to think that the Skaikru would be able to adapt to the weather over time as they have been living in space for hundreds of years and are bound to have gained some beneficial traits (e.g., tolerance to extreme cold weather).

TO BE THE GREATEST

Although I took inspiration from real-life posters, like The Mandalorian, I decided to go with the same inspiration from last week. That inspiration being One Piece by Eiichiro Oda, again. I wanted to go with two of my favorite characters from the series. Those two being Roronoa Zoro and Dracule Mihawk. To create my poster, I used the linked video at the bottom to help me learn how to make the texture on my poster.
For my project, I wanted to take two characters and dedicate a poster to Zoro's end goal in life, which is to beat Mihawk and take his place as the World's Greatest Swordsman. Eiichiro confirmed which character would be from where if they were real. Zoro being from Japan, and to me, it is clear that Mihawk would be from Spain, I wanted to do something similar to Japan and Zoro. This is can be seen by the plants on the sides of the poster, they are bamboo stalks if you can't tell. I chose to do green for my color palette because Zoro's hair color is green and the color is usually dedicated to him with what Oda does, plus my poster is dedicated to him. The poster itself shows both characters in line with each other, I put Mihawk behind and further away from Zoro because it helps show that Zoro has to take a journey to get to Mihawk. I ended up adding a slight texture to the poster because it seemed that it was missing something, plus it gives it a feeling of time being passed, hence the time it's taking Zoro to beat Mihawk. The quote at the top was what Zoro once said when he first met Mihawk, and the title is a reference to his goal that he wants to meet.
What I would like people to take away from my piece is to never give up, keep on trying and never stop. You will eventually make it and it will be a great accomplishment.

My inspiration came from my Yorkie who is always excited to go to the park, so I thought why not take you all on a walk with her. Her name is Mia (My-ya) and she is very hyper even for a 7-year-old, she still acts like a puppy, she is also very good at listening to things that I can't even hear. She likes to believe that the block is hers as well as the park so she's very mighty and talkative. The intent of my audio is to take you on a part of me and my dog's nightly routine, which is late-night walks. Everyone's lives are different and I thought why not share part of mine since my dog surely makes it interesting.

My concept for my video is to show some of my habits I have with ADHD. I constantly have to be moving, hence I bounce my knee or fidget with my fingers. Even though it may look like I'm trying to cast a spell, it really helps me to stay focused. I decided to put a lo-fi song in the background because I find it to be a normal part of my day. It may seem like the song doesn't fit for you, but it's something that's a part of my daily day to move like this. I decided to try and shoot my video in a pov type, but I didn't have many attachments for my phone so it sat on my counter for the most part. (I also tried to have more angles or different clips, but I would have been just repeating myself with the same video content).

My concept for my video is just to show that usually when I am stressed, I listen to music to “get away” from the real world and drift into my own reality, my alternate universe per say, where I can be whoever I want and look however I want as well. A place where I am able to just be free and not be tied down to anything. I wanted to capture the fact that music lets me go anywhere I want to go once I put my earbuds in.
If I was given another chance at this, I would take my time and make sure I don't miss anything. I noticed that I missed a line and filling my phone on a frame or two. I would also make sure to set my frames before starting to animate. I also used rotoscopes from a side project of mine since I was running out of time and I couldn't reach the 2-minute mark unless I did so. This is why my intro and ending are long. There is no specific reason why I chose the song, I have just been listening to it for a while now and I just really like it. It was really nice to get back into rotoscoping as I haven't done it since last year, I completely forgot how long it takes to do just to do 10 frames, which took around 3 1/2 hours. That was a pain to do especially since I had a ton of frames to do, hence why it is very wise to check your frame rate before animating and not to just dive right into it, like me. (my poor fingers and back:"( )
