In my Introduction to Computer Animation class, we had to chose an animated movie to our liking and present a video on it explaining what about it made it so important to us but the significance about it as well.
I decided to chose the movie called A Silent Voice, or Koe no Katachi directed by Yoshitoki Ōima.
I talked about the underlying issue as to why i think it is so important to not only Japanese culture, but other cultures as well. It is not common to have Japanese anime portraying a main character who has a disability, so think that is a very important thing to show to not only older groups of people, but also children who could also have the same disability.
Enjoy!
